Oversight
The LECC Act places primary responsibility for the investigation of misconduct involving the NSWPF and NSWCC upon those agencies. The LECC independently ensures misconduct matters are dealt with appropriately by the NSWPF and NSWCC.

Investigation reports from 2023

A Report into allegations a police officer used excessive force against a 17-year-old Aboriginal young person in a hospital in November 2020 and involved six private examinations before Commissioner Anina Johnson.

Operation Venti

A Report into the investigation of an allegation of excessive force against a young Aboriginal person. The Report raises matters of public interest including police use of powers on vulnerable persons, inadequate record-keeping and the appropriate use of body worn video.
