The LECC Act places primary responsibility for the investigation of misconduct involving the NSWPF and NSWCC upon those agencies. The LECC independently ensures misconduct matters are dealt with appropriately by the NSWPF and NSWCC.

Monitoring of Police Critical Incident at Singleton

The Law Enforcement Conduct Commission (LECC) was informed by the police of a critical incident that occurred at Singleton on the morning of Wednesday 11 October 2017

LECC critical incident investigators attended the scene and have commenced monitoring the investigation. This will provide assurance to the public and the next of kin that the investigation is conducted in a competent, thorough and objective manner.
