The NSW Police Force has updated its policy to require officers undertaking operational policing duties to wear and use a body worn camera unless it is reasonable impracticable or an exemption applies, telling officers ‘When the job’s on, switch on’.

The Law Enforcement Conduct Commission has found no serious misconduct or maladministration in the handling of sexual assault investigations at a metropolitan police command, following an investigation arising from complaints received in 2022 and 2024.
