Monitoring of Police Critical Incident at Cronulla

The Law Enforcement Conduct Commission (LECC) was notified of the incident in which a Traffic and Highway Patrol Command vehicle collided with a vehicle being driven by Mrs Vieira shortly after the declaration of it as a critical incident.

The Law Enforcement Conduct Commission (LECC) was notified of the incident in which a Traffic and Highway Patrol Command vehicle collided with a vehicle being driven by Mrs Vieira shortly after the declaration of it as a critical incident.

The LECC attended the scene of that critical incident on 5 September 2018, and continues to actively monitor the progress of the investigation. 

The LECC’s active monitoring will hopefully assure the public and the family of Mrs Vieira that the investigation is conducted in a satisfactory, thorough and objective manner.  

To date, the LECC has not found anything that suggests that the investigation is inadequate or unsatisfactory in any way.
