Media Release - Notice of Public Directions Hearing (LECC Operation Mantus)
The Law Enforcement Conduct Commission (the Commission) will hold a public directions hearing at 10:00am on Wednesday, 14 December 2022 regarding allegations NSW police officers used excessive force during the apprehension of a young person in northern New South Wales on 11 September 2022
The public directions hearing will be held at the Commission’s hearing room, level 3, 111 Elizabeth Street, Sydney.
The Chief Commissioner will hear legal submissions on procedural matters as part of the Commission’s investigation known as Operation Mantus. No evidence will be taken from witnesses on 14 December 2022.
Mobile phones will be allowed in the hearing room.
Filming and recording will not be allowed in the hearing room or in Commission premises.
