Notice of Public Hearing - LECC Operation Mantus

The Law Enforcement Conduct Commission (the Commission) will hold a public hearing at 10:00am on Monday, 13 March 2023 regarding allegations NSW police officers used excessive force during the apprehension of a young person in northern New South Wales on 11 September 2022.

The public hearing will be held at the Commission’s hearing room, level 3, 111 Elizabeth Street, Sydney.

Counsel Assisting the Commission will make a brief opening regarding the Commission’s investigation known as Operation Mantus. No evidence will be taken from witnesses during this public hearing.

Mobile phones will be allowed in the hearing room.

Filming and recording will not be allowed in the hearing room or in Commission premises.
