The LECC Act places primary responsibility for the investigation of misconduct involving the NSWPF and NSWCC upon those agencies. The LECC independently ensures misconduct matters are dealt with appropriately by the NSWPF and NSWCC.

Media release - Monitoring of NSW Police Force Investigation

The Law Enforcement Conduct Commission is an independent statutory body. The Commission will monitor the NSWPF investigation into the apprehension of a juvenile at Surry Hills on Monday 1 June 2020.
