Oversight
The LECC Act places primary responsibility for the investigation of misconduct involving the NSWPF and NSWCC upon those agencies. The LECC independently ensures misconduct matters are dealt with appropriately by the NSWPF and NSWCC.

Anyone can report to us about NSW Police Force or NSW Crime Commission misconduct or maladministration.

Our strategic plan

On 19 July 2023, the Commission issued its strategic plan for 2023-2026. The plan sets out our aims for the next three years, how we hope to achieve them and how we will report on the success of our efforts. It acknowledges that the Commission is independent of the NSW Police Force and the NSW Crime Commission but must exercise its considerable powers in a manner that is understood and respected by the individuals that are impacted by them. In this way the Commission will earn the support of its most important stakeholder, the people of NSW.
