Organisational structure

The Commission structure consists of a Chief Commissioner and two Commissioners appointed by the Governor and a CEO who employs the staff responsible for the work of the Commission. The three Commissioner structure provides a robust decision making process in relation to the use of the Commission’s coercive powers. As the holders of independent statutory positions, the Chief Commissioner and two Commissioners are accountable to Parliament for the performance of their functions.

The CEO of the Commission is the head of the staff agency and is responsible for the management and governance of the Commission and other public sector related obligations. The CEO works with the Commissioners to ensure there is appropriate resourcing and support for Commission operations.
