Operation Mallard investigated whether any current or former police officer or any other person has been involved in serious police misconduct or criminal activity in connection with the investigation of the allegation of sexual assault made to Waverly Police on 20 November 2004 and whether Superintendent Adam Purcell has been involved in serious police misconduct or criminal activity in relation to the release of confidential police information.
