Project Manta Volume 2 of 2 - Managing Command Misconduct Risks (April 2011)
Published: April 01, 2011
This report, is the second of 2 arising from Project Manta, focuses on how NSWPF commands manage their corruption risks. Project Manta focuses on preventing corruption and other forms of serious police misconduct before it occurs rather than waiting to deal with it after it has occurred. In Project Manta, the Commission draws an analogy between Occupational Health and Safety which sets to prevent workplace accidents and corruption prevention which seeks to minimise corrupt conduct and other forms of serious misconduct. A summary of the rationale, methodology, key research findings, implications and suggested way forward can be found on pp. vii-xi. A more detailed assessment of the processes that NSWPF use to manage their misconduct risks and 12 recommendations improvement can be found in Chapter 6.
