Developing an Early Intervention System for Police Misconduct in a Law Enforcement Agency (August 2008)

The purpose of an Early Intervention System (EIS) is to identify police officers at risk of engaging in corruption and misconduct and to treat their problematic behaviour through remedial interventions. This paper outlines the fundamental issues that need to be considered when developing an EIS to prevent police misconduct within a law enforcement agency.
